Retailers in Japan announce temporary store closures and renovations

Several retail locations in Japan have announced upcoming temporary closures for maintenance or renovations.

Marugame Seimen locations in Tochigi Prefecture will observe brief service interruptions. The Sano branch is scheduled to close on August 19, 2026, from 15:00 to 17:00, while the Ashikaga branch will undergo a similar temporary closure on August 26, 2026, between 15:00 and 17:00.

In Hachioji, Tokyo, the Coop Mirai Takakura store will close for renovations starting August 28, 2026, following an early closure on August 27. The store is scheduled to reopen on September 11, 2026. During this period, the Kojima x Bic Camera electronics retailer located on the second floor of the same building will remain open for regular business.
