Aldi and retailers launch seasonal fall and Halloween products

Retailers are adjusting strategies for the fall and Halloween seasons. Aldi has announced price reductions on nearly one-third of its regularly stocked products, aiming to save customers an estimated $86 million. These cuts include seasonal staples like butternut squash and Brussels sprouts, as well as chicken breast, occurring from late September through early November.

In the United Kingdom, Morrisons is launching a Halloween-themed range featuring costumes, home decor, and seasonal knitwear. Similarly, Aldi UK is introducing budget-friendly Halloween decorations and costumes starting in late September.

Consumer trends for the holiday season are also emerging. DoorDash data indicates that while chocolate remains a dominant category, fruity and sour candies like Haribo and Skittles are seeing increased popularity. In the toy sector, True Toys has released a curated list of 14 recommended products for the upcoming Christmas season.
