Retailers Odakyu and Nakagawa Masashichi announce new store openings and renovations

Odakyu Department Store is set to renew a zone on the second floor of its Shinjuku store in Tokyo on September 2. The renovation aims to capture gift demand by targeting office workers and inbound tourists. The new zone, covering approximately one-quarter of the second floor, will feature lifestyle goods such as tableware, kitchenware, and towels, alongside self-care items. Additionally, the Gift Salon and the OMO shop ‘Gift Gallery nanafuro’ will be relocated to this floor.

Meanwhile, Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten will open two new locations in September to coincide with commercial facility renovations. A new store will open at Amu Plaza Kokura, connected to JR Kokura Station in Fukuoka, on September 10. On September 16, the brand will expand its presence at Gransta Tokyo within JR Tokyo Station by transitioning from a specialized apparel shop to a full-service store covering food, clothing, and lifestyle goods. To celebrate these openings, limited-edition embroidered items featuring local motifs and the brand’s deer symbol will be available.
