Retarus automates user management with API-based provisioning

Retarus has expanded the administration APIs of its Secure Email Gateway to include modern provisioning functionalities. Through a new “Directory Free” solution, companies can manage users, personal and alias email addresses, domains, and forwarding directly via REST APIs.

This approach replaces traditional directory synchronizations (DirSync), which rely on periodic file transfers that can cause administrative delays and high manual workloads. The new API-based provisioning enables direct, automated communication between a customer's directory services and the Secure Email Gateway, allowing for real-time synchronization of changes.

By integrating user and domain management directly into ITSM workflows, organizations can automate lifecycle processes and reduce security and compliance risks associated with onboarding and offboarding. The update aims to provide IT teams with greater control while reducing manual errors and administrative effort.
