Rethymno hosts 9th N. S. Art Festival 2026

The 9th N. S. Art Festival 2026 is set to begin in Rethymno on Monday, October 12, running through November 30. This year’s festival centers on the theme of ‘Shadow’ (the light-shadow dipole) and its influence across various disciplines, including architecture, philosophy, sociology, psychology, and the arts.

In collaboration with the Association of Families and Friends for Mental Health of Rethymno, the festival will host author Aristidis Archontakis for a special presentation of his books. This event is dedicated to World Mental Health Day and will take place at the University of Crete’s ‘Eleni Glykatzi Arveler’ Research and Study Center.

The festival features 75 participants across four main venues in Rethymno’s old town. Programming includes collector exhibitions at the ART Gallery Morfes, musical performances at the Ibrahim Khan Mosque, and a multidisciplinary symposium at the House of Culture involving scientists and artists.
