Rethymno Municipality launches digital empowerment program for migrants

The Municipality of Rethymno has launched the ‘Digital Empowerment of Migrants’ program, an educational initiative designed to provide migrants with essential computer and digital skills. Managed by the Community Center Mediation Office and the Directorate of Social Services, the program aims to facilitate social inclusion and equal participation in the city's digital life.

The free course curriculum covers mobile device functions, using a Greek keyboard, file management, internet navigation, email usage, and secure digital transactions. The training is conducted in six-week cycles, held twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays. The first cycle is scheduled to run from November 9 to December 16, with subsequent sessions planned for the coming months.
