Retired Engineer Özlem Gündüz opens jewelry shop in Akçakoca, Turkey

Electrical engineer Özlem Gündüz, a graduate of Istanbul Technical University who spent two decades working in Istanbul, retired under Turkey's early retirement (EYT) scheme and decided to turn her long‑time hobby of jewelry design into a business.

She began by selling her pieces at the historic Akçakoca market, gradually expanding a small table into a permanent shop. Gündüz also integrates her engineering background and personal‑development coaching into her designs and plans to hold workshops and training sessions in the town.
