Retired Police Officer Dies by Suicide in Samsun Park

A 54‑year‑old retired police officer identified as C. G. shot himself with his own handgun at the Millet Bahçesi park in the Canik district of Samsun, Turkey, at around 22:15. Bystanders heard the gunshot, reported it to emergency services and the officer was taken to a private hospital, but he could not be saved. Police opened an investigation at the scene and the case remains under inquiry.
