Retired São Paulo police officer fires on robbery suspects, two injured

On Saturday, July 11, a retired military police officer intervened in a robbery in the Campo Grande neighborhood of São Paulo. Two perpetrators on a motorcycle attacked a couple, stole personal belongings and assaulted one victim with a blow to the hand. The officer opened fire on the suspects, who fled the scene. Both men later received treatment at the M’Boi Mirim Emergency Hospital, were identified as the assailants, placed under police escort, and taken to a police station for questioning. The assaulted victim did not require hospital care. The incident was recorded by the 98th Police District (Jardim Miriam).
