Retired Turkish Colonel Alican Türk Barred from Military Bases

Retired Turkish colonel Alican Türk, who has been convicted in conspiracy‑related cases, was placed under an entry ban to all military facilities. He filed a request with the Ankara 14th Administrative Court to suspend the execution of the ban, arguing that the decision was arbitrary and politically motivated.

The court rejected his request, stating that the administrative act’s legal basis and potential harms had not been sufficiently demonstrated. Türk contended that the ban, linked to the “Terörsüz Türkiye” process, targets dissenting soldiers and vowed to continue his legal challenge, accusing the authorities of trying to silence critical voices within the armed forces.
