Retiree project “Zajedno za zlatnu dob” organizes excursion to Varaždin

The “Zajedno za zlatnu dob” (Together for the Golden Age) project, a collaboration between the Red Cross Slatina and the Association of Retirees Orahovica, continues to expand its reach. The initiative has engaged over 200 participants through various activities, including health monitoring for blood pressure and sugar levels, physical exercise, Nordic walking, beginner IT courses, and monthly dances.

As part of a planned series of six excursions for seniors aged 65 and older, 84 participants recently traveled to Varaždin. The group visited the Naive Art Gallery in Hlebine, where they viewed works by various artists, including Ana Bocak, a second-generation naive artist born in Slatina. The excursion concluded with a visit to the old town of Varaždin, allowing participants to explore the city center and its historic architecture.
