Reto Pelayo Vida 2026 expedition to Senegal announced

The twelfth edition of the Reto Pelayo Vida, a social and sporting initiative aimed at raising awareness for female cancer prevention and early detection, has been announced with Senegal as the destination for 2026.

Five women who have survived cancer will undertake a 17-day journey starting November 24. The expedition will involve approximately 600 kilometers of cycling, kayak trips, and interaction with local communities to promote messages of life after a diagnosis.

Quirónsalud is returning as the official medical provider for the event. The group has conducted the necessary medical evaluations for the participants across various hospitals, including facilities in Gipuzkoa, Seville, A Coruña, and Valencia, to ensure they are fit for the physical demands of the adventure.
