Retorna Galicia Capital to rehabilitate 6,000 homes in rural Galicia

The private initiative Retorna Galicia Capital aims to revitalize depopulated rural areas in Galicia by rehabilitating approximately 6,000 homes over the next seven years. The project seeks to provide affordable housing for new families looking to settle in rural environments, addressing the issue of over 100,000 vacant homes in the region.

Founded by CEO Juan Carlos Castro, the project has already begun working in municipalities such as Sober and San Román de Xunqueira de Ambía. The company identifies assets in villages, analyzes their condition, and manages the necessary legal and technical procedures to give abandoned heritage a second life.
