Retro Fighters launches Battle Dock for Nintendo Switch 2 in Europe

Retro Fighters has released the Battle Dock in Europe, an accessory designed to provide four wired controller ports for multiplayer gaming on the Nintendo Switch 2. Distributed by Game Outlet Europe, the device is styled after the classic GameCube console and features four swappable magnetic faceplates in Spice Orange, Indigo, Jet Black, and Platinum Silver.

The Battle Dock connects to the console via USB-C and supports wired GameCube-style controllers, as well as Wavebird and BattlerGC wireless controllers. While some reports suggest the console slides directly into the dock, manufacturer specifications clarify that the official Nintendo dock is placed into the Battle Dock housing, which then connects via USB-C. The Battle Dock acts as an adapter and does not provide video output itself.

Users should note that because GameCube controllers lack Home and Minus buttons, these functions cannot be accessed through the adapter. The device also includes two additional USB-C sockets on the rear. The Battle Dock is priced at €39.99 or £34.99 and is available through major retailers including Amazon in the UK, Germany, and Italy.
