Retroid unveils dual-screen Pocket Duo handheld consoles

Retroid has announced two new dual-screen handheld gaming consoles designed for emulation: the Retroid Pocket Duo and the Retroid Pocket Duo Lite. Both devices feature a clamshell design intended to facilitate the emulation of systems like the Nintendo DS and 3DS.

The flagship Retroid Pocket Duo features dual 120 Hz AMOLED displays, with a 5.5-inch primary screen (1080p) and a 4.5-inch secondary screen (960p). It is powered by a Qualcomm Dragonwing Q-7790 processor, includes 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and runs on Android 16. Pre-order pricing for this model is set at $249, with a standard retail price of $269.

The Retroid Pocket Duo Lite offers a more budget-friendly configuration with dual 60 Hz TFT displays (5.5-inch primary and 4.2-inch secondary). It utilizes a Qualcomm Dragonwing QSC6125 processor and runs on Android 15. The Lite model will be available in two memory configurations: 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage starting at $135 for pre-orders, and 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage starting at $155 for pre-orders.

Both consoles will be available in various colors, including transparent options like atomic purple and ice blue.
