Rev. William Okoye burial scheduled for October 9
The burial for Reverend William Okoye, the founder and General Overseer of the All Christians Fellowship Mission, has been scheduled for October 9 in Agulu, Anambra State. Okoye, who passed away on July 15 at the age of 74, previously served as the chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel during the administrations of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan.
The funeral proceedings will begin in Abuja with a Service of Songs at the Cathedral of Compassion on September 30, followed by a Night of Tributes and Honour at the National Christian Centre on October 2.
Following these events, the remains will be moved to Anambra State for a wake-keep at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Field in Agulu on October 8. The funeral service will take place at the same venue on October 9, with interment at Okoye’s compound in Amatutu Village. The program will conclude with an outing service at Agulu Town Hall on October 11.
Okoye held several prominent leadership roles, including serving as chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the Federal Capital Territory and chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), FCT chapter. He is survived by six children and nine grandchildren.
