Telangana CM reviews airport and hospital construction projects

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has ordered the integration of state heritage into major infrastructure projects, including the upcoming airports in Warangal and Adilabad, as well as the Telangana Bhavan in Delhi. He instructed officials to study architectural styles from the Kakatiya Kala Thoranam, Ramappa Temple, and Pillalamarri Temple to ensure the new constructions serve as cultural symbols.

During project reviews, the Chief Minister addressed logistical challenges such as the relocation of power lines, water supply pipelines, and the diversion of roads and streams. He emphasized the need for strict inter-departmental coordination to prevent complications and directed the development of wider road networks to connect the airports to national and state highways.

In a separate infrastructure review, the Chief Minister expressed dissatisfaction with the slow construction of the Warangal Super Speciality Hospital. Despite funds being released through a ‘Green Channel’ fast-track process, delays persist. Reddy has ordered round-the-clock construction for the next 30 days and mandated regular site inspections by the Chief Minister’s Office to expedite completion.

Additionally, citizens in Warangal have submitted a proposal to the Chief Minister requesting that the Mamnoor Airport be named after the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan, citing the site's historical connection to the Nizam-era development of the region.
