Revelstoke man fined $9,100 for assaulting officer and damaging RCMP vehicle
Sacha Siegfried Schorer, a 40-year-old man, has been ordered to pay $9,100 in restitution following an incident in Revelstoke involving the assault of an officer and damage to an RCMP vehicle.
According to Crown prosecutor Jason McNiven, the incident began on August 29, 2025, when Schorer yelled at and disobeyed an officer conducting impaired driving checks. Later that day, Schorer attacked a parked police cruiser by striking it and jumping on top of it, causing over $5,000 in damage. During an altercation, Schorer also slammed a vehicle door on the constable.
After being arrested, Schorer continued to damage an RCMP vehicle by kicking windows and breaking glass while being transported. Schorer pleaded guilty to resisting or obstructing an officer and causing mischief to property. The court granted a conditional discharge, which includes 18 months of probation, community service, and the $9,100 restitution to cover damages to police property.
