Amu Plaza Tenjin announces first wave of tenants for 2027 opening
JR Hakata City has announced the first phase of tenant reveals for the upcoming transformation of the VIORO commercial facility in Fukuoka into ‘Amu Plaza Tenjin’, scheduled to open in spring 2027. The announcement includes 31 new and renewed shops, featuring major brands such as BEAMS, which will host its largest scale presence in Kyushu, and seven Bakeblue brands including Herringbone Footwear, marking its Kyushu debut.
Other notable arrivals include RIM BY JINS, making its Kyushu debut, and BASIC AND ACCENT, arriving in Fukuoka for the first time. To prepare for the grand opening, several existing VIORO tenants, including United Arrows and Marimekko, will undergo early renovations and reopen in late 2026.
Separately, LAVA International is expanding its machine pilates brand, Rintosull, with new studio openings in the Shonan area at Mister Max Shonan Fujisawa and in the Sendai area at Branch Sendai, both slated for December 1, 2026.
