Revolut denies alleged breach of data on 75 million users

Hackers on a cyber‑crime forum claim to be selling a database that contains personal information of more than 75 million Revolut customers, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses and partial payment‑card details. The advertised dataset is priced at about $500 and samples show hashed passwords and device metadata.

Revolut says it has found no evidence of a new security compromise and its internal monitoring has not detected unauthorized access. The company is investigating the claim but stresses that the data may have been compiled from earlier leaks or from malware on users’ devices rather than from a breach of its own systems. Security researchers note that the data could be aggregated from multiple sources and that no definitive proof ties it to a direct hack of Revolut’s infrastructure.
