Revolut experiences widespread service outages

Revolut users in multiple countries, including Hungary, Romania, and the United Kingdom, reported significant service disruptions on Tuesday morning. The technical issues affected both Android and iOS users, preventing them from accessing the mobile application, checking account balances, or performing essential financial transactions.

Specific reported problems include the inability to make card payments, initiate bank transfers, exchange currencies, or withdraw cash from ATMs. Some users encountered error messages stating, “We are sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later,” while others found that virtual cards were non-functional.

Revolut acknowledged the disruption via X (formerly Twitter), stating that certain functions have become temporarily unavailable. The company’s technical team is working to resolve the issue, though no specific cause or estimated time for full restoration has been provided. This follows a previous minor outage on October 8 that resulted in reversed card transactions for some customers.
