Revolut surpasses six million customers in Italy
Revolut has surpassed six million customers in Italy, marking a significant expansion for the fintech company. This growth represents an increase of one million users since the beginning of 2026. Italy has become the company’s fourth largest market globally and its third largest in Europe, following France and Germany.
Key financial indicators show that salary deposits to Revolut accounts have more than doubled compared to the previous year. Additionally, total customer savings in Italy have reached over 1.2 billion euros, a nearly fourfold increase from the prior year. While 60% of the Italian user base is under the age of 35, the company is seeing an increase in older users with more complex financial needs.
On the corporate side, Revolut Business serves over 62,000 companies in Italy, representing a 36% annual growth rate. Nicola Vicino, General Manager for Revolut in Italy, stated the company’s ambition is to become the leading bank in the country. This expansion comes as traditional banking leaders, such as UniCredit CEO Andrea Orcel, identify Revolut as a formidable competitor to established financial institutions.
