Revolution Wind completes installation of all 65 turbines

The Revolution Wind offshore wind project has completed the installation of all 65 turbines, reaching a milestone for the 704-megawatt facility. Co-developed by the Danish energy company Ørsted, the $6.2 billion project provides carbon-free electricity to Rhode Island and Connecticut.

The project’s completion follows significant legal and political challenges, including federal stop-work orders that were later overturned by a federal judge. While the facility has been operating at partial output, the full installation allows it to prepare for its total 704-megawatt capacity to support regional electricity demand.
