Rewa police rescue kidnapped toddler and arrest four suspects

Police in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, have successfully rescued a two-and-a-half-year-old girl who was kidnapped from an Anganwadi center. The child was recovered safely in the Sidhi district, approximately 100 kilometers away from where she was taken.

Authorities arrested four individuals in connection with the abduction: Kesakali Kol, her husband Ravishankar Malviya, Riya Verma, and Reenu Rawat. According to police investigations, the motive behind the kidnapping was the desire of the couple to adopt a child, as they reportedly do not have children of their own.

The suspects allegedly transported the child in a sack to a village in the Sidhi district. Following the report of the disappearance, police utilized CCTV footage and local intelligence to track the suspects. The child has since been returned to her family.
