Rewe and Aldi offer discounted health monitoring devices

German retailers Rewe and Aldi are offering various health monitoring devices at discounted prices.

Rewe is selling Sanitas brand products, including a fever thermometer for 2.99 euros, and both a blood pressure monitor and a pulse oximeter for 12.99 euros each. The thermometer is waterproof and mercury-free, while the pulse oximeter measures blood oxygen saturation and heart rate. The blood pressure monitor features a memory for up to 60 readings and includes an arrhythmia detection function.

Aldi Nord is offering an Ambiano brand wrist blood pressure monitor for 14.99 euros starting October 15. While the wrist model is compact and suitable for travel, experts from the Deutsche Herzstiftung note that upper arm cuff models are generally more accurate, particularly for individuals over the age of 65.
