Rey Mysterio accepts Chad Gable’s Intercontinental title challenge

Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable has issued a title challenge to Rey Mysterio on WWE Raw. Mysterio, who currently serves as the on-screen General Manager for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, accepted the challenge despite his administrative responsibilities in Mexico.

The upcoming match marks the second singles encounter between Gable and Mysterio, following their first meeting in October 2022. The challenge follows a recent storyline arc in which Gable transitioned from mocking Lucha Libre traditions to showing respect for the culture and its practitioners.

In other Raw developments, Solo Sikoa lost a match to Jey Uso, a result that will see him delivered to Roman Reigns on the following week’s episode.
