Rey Mysterio clarifies retirement rumors after Hall of Fame induction

Rey Mysterio explained that his 2023 WWE Hall of Fame induction was not a signal to retire. In a Six Feet Under podcast he recalled Triple H telling him about the honor, which initially made Mysterio think his in‑ring career was ending. Triple H reassured him that the induction was simply timely recognition, and Mysterio confirmed he will continue wrestling.

Mysterio also highlighted his ongoing role as General Manager of Mexico’s AAA promotion, making him the only active Hall of Famer on WWE’s roster. He joked that he still has about ten years left in the ring and spoke about his daughter Aalyah’s potential future in WWE, noting she may soon begin training at the Performance Center.
