Reynaldo Tilguath appointed head coach of Platense

Reynaldo Tilguath has been named the new head coach of Platense FC in Puerto Cortés, Honduras. He replaces Raúl Cáceres and will be supported by assistant coach Marlon Peña.

The appointment comes as the club struggles in the Apertura 2026 tournament, currently sitting in penultimate place with eight points, just two ahead of Juticalpa FC. The new coaching staff, appointed by the board led by Adalid Puerto, faces the immediate challenge of improving collective performance to move the team up the standings.

Tilguath, 47, brings experience in managing promotions and high-stakes matches. His previous coaching career includes notable stints with Real de Minas and Génesis FC, where he led the team to a semifinal appearance in the Apertura 2023-24 tournament.
