Reynosa vehicle yard fire draws multi-city emergency response

A major fire broke out at a vehicle yard located on the San Fernando highway in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. The blaze reportedly began in a nearby grassland before spreading to the facility, producing a massive column of smoke visible throughout the city.

Emergency response efforts involved firefighters and civil protection teams from Reynosa, with additional support from neighboring municipalities including Río Bravo and Matamoros. Reynosa Mayor Carlos Peña Ortiz acknowledged the collaborative efforts to control the emergency. Cooling operations continued late into the evening to manage the aftermath of the fire.
