Rezana Çeliku: Albanian actress and public official passes away

Actress Ema Andrea has paid tribute to Rezana Çeliku, a prominent Albanian film and television artist who passed away recently at the age of 66 following an illness.

Andrea recalled their early professional connection during the filming of ‘Një vajzë dhe një djalë’ in 1990. She described Çeliku as an inspiring figure whose professionalism and presence brought a unique light to her work. Çeliku was noted for her courageous role as a centralist, a character that sparked discussions at the time due to its portrayal of a relationship with a younger man.

Following her career in cinema, Çeliku transitioned into public administration after studying Economics and Law. She served for many years in the Public Relations Directorate of the Tirana Municipality. Andrea remembered her as a dedicated individual who maintained her vibrant spirit even within institutional settings.
