Blackstone Group exits EPL Ltd with full stake sale

Blackstone Group has exited its position in Mumbai-based packaging company EPL Ltd. Through its affiliate Epsilon Bidco Pte Ltd, the US-based firm divested its entire 26.38 per cent stake for approximately Rs 2,032 crore via an open market transaction.

The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 240.57 each. The transaction attracted several domestic and foreign investors, including Quant Mutual Fund, which emerged as the largest buyer by acquiring a 4.48 per cent stake. Other participants included ICICI Prudential, Edelweiss, Bandhan, 360 One Group, and Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, alongside the Canadian Public Sector Pension Investment Board.
