Rezzoaglio officials warn of student impact from Amt bus cuts

Proposed cuts to extra-urban bus lines by Amt are causing concern in Rezzoaglio, Val d'Aveto. The reductions specifically target afternoon services that are essential for local students.

Rezzoaglio Vice Mayor Mauro Losi noted that students currently travel from Rezzoaglio and Santo Stefano d'Aveto early in the morning to reach schools in coastal towns such as Chiavari, Rapallo, and Sestri Levante. Under the proposed plan, the loss of the 16:00 bus would force students to wait for much later connections, potentially delaying their return home until 20:00.

Losi expressed concern that these service reductions could discourage families from remaining in the area, contributing to the depopulation of inland valleys.
