RFEF implements fertility plan for female players and referees

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has implemented a fertility plan that allows female players and referees to freeze their eggs. Reyes Bellver, the RFEF's director of women's football, described the agreement as a historic step toward providing women with more autonomy over their reproductive choices during their athletic careers.

The program is designed to be comprehensive, extending beyond the women's national football team to include the women's national futsal team, First Division referees, and RFEF employees. Bellver noted that the initiative arose from ongoing dialogue with team captains to identify the specific needs and resources required by female athletes.
