RFEF approves CD Arenteiro registration for Tercera Federación

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has officially approved the conditional registration of CD Arenteiro for the 2026/27 Tercera Federación season. This decision follows a period of institutional tension after the club successfully settled outstanding debts.

To secure registration, the club mobilized approximately 180,000 euros over a 15-day period. This included roughly 69,616 euros to pay players and approximately 50,000 euros to settle debts with technical staff. Additional funds were utilized to cover competition guarantees and other federative obligations.

The ruling has drawn criticism from Club Juventud Cambados, which was set to occupy the vacancy in the Tercera Federación. Cambados management intends to appeal the decision, alleging irregularities in the registration process and questioning Arenteiro's compliance with obligations to the Tax Agency and Social Security.
