RGB LED technology unlikely to be the future of TVs

Recent testing of RGB LED televisions suggests that the technology may not be the future of the industry. While high-end models like the Hisense 116UX initially demonstrated impressive brightness and color range, subsequent evaluations of models from Hisense, Samsung, and Sony revealed fundamental issues with the RGB LED approach.

RGB LED TVs utilize clusters of red, green, and blue LEDs to adjust colors individually, expanding the panel's color range beyond conventional white or blue-backlit systems. However, current findings indicate that OLED remains the superior choice for premium experiences, and conventional mini-LED QLED technology is capable of matching RGB LED in both light output and color range.
