RGIPT and Bureau of Indian Standards sign MoU for research and standardization
The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) and the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 13, 2026, at the RGIPT Jais campus in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh.
The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation in research and development, standardization, conformity assessment, technical capacity building, and academic engagement. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between scientific research, technological innovation, and the implementation of industry standards.
Key initiatives under the MoU include collaborative R&D projects, participation in national and international technical committees, and the organization of joint seminars, workshops, and training programs. Additionally, the institutions will exchange technical publications and research information. BIS will also assist in integrating standardization and conformity assessment concepts into RGIPT’s academic curriculum to enhance student understanding of product quality, safety, and reliability.
