RGIPT hosts AIChE Student Regional Conference Viplav SRC 2026

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Student Regional Conference (SRC)–India, known as ‘Viplav SRC 2026,’ concluded on August 23 at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) in Jais, Amethi.

The three-day event, held from August 21 to 23, hosted approximately 250 students from various Indian institutions, including BITS Pilani, VIT, and NIT Rourkela. The conference featured technical paper and poster presentations, Chem-E-Car competitions, quiz contests, and K-12 events.

Key winners included MIT World Peace University for the Chem-E-Car performance run and VIT for the flagship event. Priyansh Bisht of VIT received the Technical Paper Presentation award, while Anshika Sahetai of SVNIT won the Poster presentation award. The closing ceremony included remarks from RGIPT Director Prof. Harish Hirani and Shri Saravanan T., Superintendent of Police, Amethi.
