Rhea Ripley's Knee Injury Triggers WWE Women’s Division Rewrite Ahead of Night of Champions
Rhea Ripley, the reigning WWE Women’s Champion, suffered a knee injury that was disclosed on the June 12 episode of SmackDown. WWE confirmed she is being evaluated and may be sidelined for an indefinite period.
In response, WWE has reworked its women’s‑division storyline for the upcoming Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Ripley was removed from the event’s promotional poster and replaced by Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton. Other roster plans have been adjusted, with speculation that wrestlers such as Jacy Jayne could be repositioned for future title matches and the August SummerSlam show.
