Rhein-Kreis Neuss funds Schloss Dyck nature project

The Rhein-Kreis Neuss district has approved 460,000 euros in funding for the ‘BlauGrünSchlossDyck’ project, managed by the Stiftung Schloss Dyck. The initiative aims to combine nature and climate protection with the preservation of the historical park.

A primary focus of the project is the renaturation and revitalization of the Kelzenberger Bach. This watercourse had previously dried up due to groundwater lowering caused by coal mining. By restoring the stream, the project seeks to create new habitats for flora and fauna while adapting the landscape to climate change.
