Rhein-Neckar-Kreis copper kettle thefts spark police witness appeal

Police in the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis district of Germany are investigating two recent copper‑kettle thefts. In Daisbach, a copper kettle used as a decorative flowerpot was taken from Dagobertstraße during the night of Tuesday‑Wednesday, with the thieves emptying the soil and plants before removing the kettle. In Leimen, a similar theft occurred on Wednesday evening on Breslauer Straße, where a 60 × 60 cm copper bucket with side handles was stolen, and the plants were discarded. The estimated material loss is about €220 for the Leimen case; the Daisbach damage amount has not yet been quantified. Both investigations are being handled by the Polizeipräsidium Mannheim, which has issued a call for witnesses.
