Rhein-Neckar Löwen defeat MT Melsungen 30:28 in Bundesliga handball

Rhein-Neckar Löwen secured a 30:28 victory against MT Melsungen in a Handball-Bundesliga match. The win serves as a successful revenge for the Löwen following a recent defeat to Melsungen in the DHB-Pokal.

Goalkeeper David Späth was a decisive factor for the hosts, making 13 saves. While MT Melsungen had previously scored over 30 goals in each of their first four Bundesliga matches, they struggled with offensive efficiency in this encounter, missing several opportunities and failing to convert four penalty throws.

Rhein-Neckar Löwen coach Maik Machulla praised his team’s morale and ability to secure a close win in the final minutes. Conversely, Melsungen coach Roberto Garcia Parrondo expressed disappointment, noting that despite creating many scoring chances, poor shot effectiveness prevented them from staying competitive.
