Central Europe reports multiple fatal and severe traffic accidents

Multiple serious traffic incidents occurred across Central Europe. In Austria, a 47-year-old driver lost a semi-trailer on the A2 motorway near Bad St. Leonhard, causing significant traffic disruptions and requiring cleanup by ASFINAG and local fire departments.

In Germany, several fatal and severe accidents were reported. A 61-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision with a truck on the L549. In Umkirch, a 29-year-old driver was killed when his car overturned and struck a parked semi-trailer on the B31a. Other notable incidents include an 84-year-old motorcyclist being seriously injured after being struck by a truck on the St 2518, and a 56-year-old motorcyclist crashing into a rock wall on the L 159 near Freiburg.

Additionally, a 41-year-old driver was airlifted to a clinic after crashing on the A 98 near Lörrach. In Pfreimd, police are investigating a violent dispute at a Kirwa festival that resulted in a 19-year-old woman being hospitalized following physical altercations, alongside a separate vehicle collision on a forest path near Schwarzenfeld.
