Rheingau Music and Wine Festivals Highlight Regional Culture
The Rheingau Music Festival staged a sold‑out concert in Hochheim, where British soul‑jazz singer Mica Millar performed with her five‑piece band at the historic Weingut Künstler. The event marked the 20th anniversary of the winery’s role as a festival venue and underscored the festival’s blend of international artists, local wine culture and extensive networking among cultural, business and political figures.
Meanwhile, the 23rd Rheingau Wine Festival took place over three days on the historic market square in Oberursel. Fourteen winemakers presented a range of Riesling, Weiß‑ and Grauburgunder, Spätburgunder and other varieties, with first‑time participation from the Klostermühle and Peter Flick estates. The opening featured Mayor Antje Runge, delegations from partner towns including Épinay‑sur‑Seine and the Korean consulate, and a festive atmosphere described as a “summer living room” for the community.
Both events emphasized the region’s cultural heritage, drawing local and international guests while reinforcing the Rheingau’s reputation as a hub for music, wine and communal celebration.
