Rheinkirmes Düsseldorf attracts millions to Germany's biggest Rhine fair

The Rheinkirmes in Düsseldorf, dubbed the largest fair on the Rhine, is scheduled for July 17‑26 2026 on the Oberkasseler Rheinwiesen. The ten‑day event features a mix of modern and traditional attractions—including roller coasters, a giant Ferris wheel, family rides, beer gardens, food stalls and live entertainment—and draws millions of visitors each year.

The venue sits opposite the city centre, offering panoramic views of the Rhine, the Altstadt and the Düsseldorf skyline. Visitors from the Netherlands can travel conveniently by ICE International trains from Amsterdam, Utrecht or Arnhem, arriving at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof and then using tram or U‑bahn connections to reach the fairgrounds.
