Rheinmetall expands defense contracts and capacitor technology
Rheinmetall is expanding its technological and operational footprint through several key developments. A subsidiary has secured funding to develop scalable industrial manufacturing processes for high-performance NanoLam™ capacitors.
In its defense division, the company successfully completed a Factory Acceptance Test for a new training system designed for heavy infantry combat training. Additionally, Rheinmetall secured a major international order for tens of thousands of 155-mm artillery shells, a contract valued in the low triple-digit millions of euros with deliveries scheduled for 2027.
On the autonomous systems front, the U.S.-based subsidiary American Rheinmetall has been awarded a $7 million contract to supply 12 Mission Master SP autonomous ground vehicles to the U.S. Marine Corps.
