Rhetorical wins consecutive Coolmore Turf Mile Stakes at Keeneland

Rhetorical secured a consecutive victory in the Grade 1 Coolmore Turf Mile Stakes at Keeneland Racecourse. With a winning time of 1:36.35, the horse became the only runner this century, alongside Gio Ponti, to defend this title in back-to-back years.

Jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. led the horse from the start, maintaining a comfortable pace to win the $1,250,000 purse. The victory earns Rhetorical an automatic berth in the Breeders' Cup Mile at Keeneland later this month. Lake Forest finished second, followed by Title Role.
