Rheurdt: 75-year-old cyclist dies on forest path

A 75-year-old cyclist died on August 27 on a forest path between Rheurdt and the Littardkuhlen. According to the Kleve police, the man was found injured and unresponsive next to his bicycle around 3:20 p.m.

Despite immediate resuscitation efforts by first responders and emergency services, the man died at the scene. Police stated that he had passed pedestrians on his bicycle shortly before the incident. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing, though no evidence of third-party involvement has been found so far.
