Rhianna Pollicina returns to Western Sydney Wanderers

Western Sydney Wanderers FC has announced the signing of attacking midfielder Rhianna Pollicina on a two-season deal. Pollicina returns to the club where she began her professional career during the 2014/15 season.

Pollicina joins the Wanderers following a stint with Melbourne Victory. Her previous tenure at Melbourne City included 85 appearances and 29 goals, making her the third-highest goalscorer in the history of the club’s women’s team. During her time with City, she secured consecutive Premierships and earned three PFA Team of the Season selections.

Football Director Mal Impiombato noted that Pollicina brings creativity, goals, and significant leadership experience to the squad. Head coach Geoff Abrahams added that her attacking quality is expected to provide a new dimension to the team.
