Rhinoceros film starring Gene Wilder is now streaming for free

The 1974 absurdist comedy film ‘Rhinoceros’ is currently available to stream for free on YouTube. Directed by Tom O’Horgan, the film is an adaptation of Eugène Ionesco’s 1959 play.

The story follows Stanley, a depressed office worker, as the members of his community inexplicably begin transforming into rhinoceroses. The film features an ensemble cast including Gene Wilder, Karen Black, and Zero Mostel. The physical transformations in the narrative serve as a satirical political allegory regarding conformity and the rise of fascism.
