RHÖN-KLINIKUM appoints Dr. Anja Baumann as Chief Physician

Dr. Anja Baumann has assumed the role of Chief Physician for the acute care department of the Psychosomatic Clinic at the RHÖN-KLINIKUM Campus Bad Neustadt, effective September 1, 2026. A specialist in psychosomatic medicine, psychotherapy, and internal medicine, Dr. Baumann is responsible for the acute inpatient care in Clinical Area I, which includes approximately 180 beds. She joins Chief Physician Guido Loy to form the leadership team for this area, while Dr. Loy remains responsible for Clinical Area II, which encompasses 60 acute beds, the rehabilitation clinic, the day clinic, and the psychosomatic institute outpatient clinic.

Dr. Baumann succeeds Dr. Dagmar Stelz, who led the acute department for over 13 years since 2013. Dr. Stelz, who had been associated with the RHÖN-KLINIKUM Campus Bad Neustadt since 1987, also served as the Medical Director of the Psychosomatic Clinic starting in 2022. During her tenure, Dr. Stelz was instrumental in the development of the acute department and the establishment of the psychosomatic institute outpatient clinic, focusing on areas such as trauma therapy, eating disorders, and the care of elderly patients.
